Alistair qualified in 2007 from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh. During his time in general small animal practice he has developed a keen interest in all aspects of small animal surgery. He was awarded the RCVS Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (CertAVP) in 2014. This qualification follows many years of successful case management and examinations and represents the first tier of veterinary postgraduate qualifications. Alistair is particularly enthusiastic about the arthroscopic treatment of canine elbow disease, management of cranial cruciate ligament rupture and laparoscopic surgery. Born and bred Invernessian, Alistair now lives on the Black Isle with his wife and black Labrador Holly. He likes to keep busy and is often seen hill walking with friends, fishing with his dad, woodworking and renovating his house.
